| History
Swing-Lo Suspended Scaffold Company was formed in 1955, after H. Geo. Leonard, of the H. Geo. Leonard & Sons Painting Company, developed a more competitive and economic method to paint bridges while working on the I-94 Interstate Highway Program. Using the ice tong principle, Mr. Leonard invented a suspended scaffold system: roller, stationary clamps and hanger frames that rode along structural beam flanges and allowed workmen access to all areas of the bridge without interfering with traffic below.
