Every one of our suspended scaffold designs is extensively tested to meet or exceed OSHA standards. To learn ways to maximize your worker safety, contact us by filling out the form at right.
With Swing-Lo® Systems’ patented modular scaffold design, your crew can work over water, traffic, utility lines, railways, shipyards and production lines with greater ease, safety and money savings. Access the complete fascia or underside of bridges to inspect, paint, or sandblast. Inspect or repair piers, tanks, oil rigs, ships, industrial equipment — just about anything — at savings of up to 50% on the cost of conventional frame scaffolding.
Quick assembly – no tools needed
You assemble Swing-Lo suspended scaffolding from the top down, not from the bottom up, so it's fast and easy. First, secure scaffold clamps to jersey and concrete rails, pipe rails, steel beams, plate girders or cables. Then add extra-strong, lightweight metal stems and hangers and attach support trusses to increase rigidity and strength. Next, add a working deck of almost any size, positioning it so workers are right where you need them. Finally, install safety guardrail brackets, toeboards and debris containment enclosures to protect your crew and those below. No tools required!
Meets/exceeds OSHA safety standards
Every Swing-Lo suspended scaffold system is tested extensively to provide your workers with maximum safety and to meet or exceed OSHA standards. Our systems are so safe OSHA even uses our procedures in their scaffolding safety courses.
Up to 50% lower scaffolding costs
Easily save about half of the cost of conventional, fabricated frame scaffold with Swing-Lo scaffolding. You'll invest thousands of dollars less than what you'd spend on a high-lift or multi-boom truck. Plus, with Swing-Lo decks, you can complete work faster with much larger crews while traffic or construction activity continues below. And with our By-Pass System, even a small crew can roll the scaffold along the entire length of the bridge without repeated dismantling and rebuilding.
Reach just about any job with Swing-Lo Suspended Scaffold
Our 50+ years of problem solving lets us help you handle almost any type or scale of project. If a Swing-Lo system doesn't exist to meet your needs, we'll custom-engineer one for you as we've done for hundreds of work crews around the world. We back each design with our quick-response service team and 12-month limited warranty.
Your Swing-Lo suspended and parapet scaffold choices include:
- Standard Rolling Platform: This patented modular design gives crews the versatility they need for any job. Worker simply clamps the hanger assembly to the lower flanges of I-beams and then adds a support truss or inserts needle beams onto the stem hanger. Next the crew adds a deck of almost any size, safety rails and toeboards to protect workers and those below.
- Parapet Scaffold: Locks to most bridge rails in minutes with quick-locking pins. Rollers allow workers to move entire scaffold along parapet with ease.
- By-Pass Scaffold: This revolutionary concept in scaffold engineering allows workers to move platforms and decks along support beams. The scaffold can traverse the length of the beam, rolling over or around crossbeams, rivets, etc.
- Tank Scaffold: Suspends on the outside or inside of tanks using welded clips. Welded rings are provided for cable guardrails. Mobile version available.
- Cable Scaffold: Circumvents structural interferences. Simply anchor two parallel cables to bridge or building beams then suspend the scaffold hangers and deck from them. Use it as an economical, permanent installation for your inspection work. (Chicago Transit Authority installed one permanently on the EL bridge over downtown Chicago's Stevenson Expressway where it junctions with the heavily trafficked Dan Ryan Expressway.)
- Pier Cap Scaffold: Straddles pier caps at two or more points to give work crews access to both sides and ends of the pier. Working decks are adjustable for length and height and can be enclosed to protect workers.
- Waler Fascia Beam Scaffold: Provides fast, temporary catwalk support close to the job. Crews removing concrete forms find it especially useful.
- Mobile Stripping Cart: Specially designed wheel assemblies roll along the beam flanges. Speeds up form removal on pre-stressed concrete beam construction.
- Rolling Cart – Counter-Weighted: Lets workers access areas up to 6 feet under the bridge. Its 2-foot access platform provides even more on-the-job flexibility.
- Performance Scaffold: Expands to create platforms of almost any size by adding more decks and hangers. Supports more workers so jobs get done faster.
- Stationary Guardrail/Parapet Scaffold: Provides a continuous walkway when rolling is not feasible. Wrap-around systems available, too.
